Guest Ed from AZ Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I have a Dell Latitude laptop running XP Pro SP2. It has WiFi, firewall, spyware and AV software that runs at every start-up. I have one certain situation where I use the laptop on a regular basis in which I will never need the WiFi and anti-malware software to run. I'd like to create a start-up profile that does not include these so I don't have to wait until everyone finishes their scans and checks and connection attempts before I can have my machine back!! Is it easy enough to create a separate profile that would do this? Or would I need to investigate smoe kind of script that would toggle these? (Also, as part of this one specific use, I use the laptop's video driver to rotate the screen 90 degrees to the right so I can use the machine open and on its left edge. It's almost a perfect 8 1/2 x 11 that way. It would be great if I could include this rotation in the start-up profile - just one less thing to do manually.) Ed
