Guest LB Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Hello all, Winxp prof, SP3 I have found a very few post on this issue but ever since uninstalling IE 8 my machine has become a dog. I am getting this error: Event Type: Error Event Source: Userenv Event Category: None Event ID: 1041 Date: 9/16/2008 Time: 8:04:28 AM User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Computer: INFODEV Description: Windows cannot query DllName registry entry for {CF7639F3-ABA2-41DB-97F2-81E2C5DBFC5D} and it will not be loaded. This is most likely caused by a faulty registration. When I look up the Guid in the registery I see that it is under GPExtensions. The errors come in groups of 4 and all point to the GPExtensions guids. Any idea how to get rid of these errors without rebuilding the machine. Thanks, LB

Guest Anteaus Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 RE: IE 8 Beta, WinXP uninstall issue Might also remind you that the Microsoft definitoon of 'beta' differs from that of most other coders. It means something like, "WHAAA-HEY, I 've finally got it to compile without any Syntax Error messages!" <g> > "LB" wrote: > > > Hello all, > > Winxp prof, SP3 > > I have found a very few post on this issue but ever since uninstalling IE 8 > > my machine has become a dog.
