Guest ds666 Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I have a C0000218 registry failure? help - ive tried everything i can think of Im not computer litterate. ok, what happened - i went into start - run - and msconfig to try and stop certain programmes booting up when i turn the computer on. And yes i unchecked something i shouldnt. Now the computer will not start it just has a blue screen saying dumping physical memory - ive tried all the different options "safe mode" "start windows from last good point" etc etc - all just take me back to the dreaded blue screen. I do not have a windows xp cd - i never did get one with my computer - I NEED HELP - what can i do? - where can i get the cd? can anyone send me one? i need to get this sorted. thanks in advance

Your OS become corrupted due to the fact you tinker with the registry. You can do it yourself. Then restore your computer to factory condition by whatever method HP/Compaq provided. Refer to your user manual or to HP's tech support website for instructions.
