Guest quattda Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I have a small classroom (20 PCs) networked running XP. Different Students log in and out of the computers each class period. I would like to be able to have a "thought of the day" automatically pop up when they log in. Is there a way to do this using XP or some other (preferably free) software?

I would be able to change the message from my computer and not have to go to each of the machines and change the message?
Guest R. McCarty Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Re: Message Are the computers joined by a Server/Domain ? If no then you'd have to have the script run local on each machine, but the content itself could be located on a common share location accessible by each PC. Guest quattda Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Re: Message No, they are not joined by a server/domain. So, what type of script should the local file be: bat, cmd, or something else? Thanks for the help. "R. McCarty" wrote: > Are the computers joined by a Server/Domain ?
