No need to remove IE, just don't use it. I've been using Firefox for several years. Occasionally Firefox had problems with some pages that would work in IE, but I haven't run into that problem lately. Bill

You can only remove the IE "icons." IE is too integrated in most Windows versions.

Chrome is beta and uses a lot of RAM. Safari is Apple's attempt to bring their applications to Windows. Not many add-ons yet.
