Guest Virgilijus Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 When I run sfc /scannow, I get: Windows File Protection could not initiate a scan of protected system files. The specific error code is 0x000006ba [RPC server is unavailable.] any suggestions as to how to fix this???

Manually start them if they're not already started. Perform system file check again and see if it works. Why run sfc, I have another issue where my help and support does not work and they suggested that I run SFC.
