Guest Mike Fefferman Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Hi-- We have a server that hosts 5 or 6 shared folders. When this server is rebooted, the folders are no longer shared. There is nothing in the event logs and you are able to recreate the shares after the server reboots. Any ideas? -- Mike
Guest Anthony [MVP] Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Re: Shared folders disappear on reboot This happens if the share previously existed but has been deleted uncleanly by changes to the drives. Try looking in the registry to see if the Share already exists, under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\Shares, Anthony http://www.airdesk.co.uk "Mike Fefferman" <MikeFefferman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E0AC0C6E-3025-4087-8629-F38868875B74@microsoft.com... > Hi-- > > We have a server that hosts 5 or 6 shared folders.
