Guest Martin C Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I am planning on starting a new PC build and will be re-installing XP Home from scratch - it was starting to get a bit clogged and slow. I am fairly sure how to backup all the things I need, but I was not sure what to do about my kid's MSN accounts. What do I need to backup so that I can restore everthing once I have installed the latest MSN Messenger on the new machine. Thanks. Martin

I would install everything from scratch. I would hope that you already have your most important file folders on a several CDs. Often it is the case that you find out how many useless and/or un-needed programs you have had clogging up the works. This also gives you the chance to verify any passwords and/or usernames that you use and need to write down for safe keeping as a PC is NOT the place to safe keep important information. -- http://www.bootdisk.com/
