I'm just wondering if it is possible to restore a back-up file using the

command-line?

Which "restore command line tool" are you referring to? The one that came

with DOS? It does not exist under Windows NT and its various successors.

For the benefit of others it would be useful if you stated the answer you

found in KB 814 583. Since you were wondering how to do it, others might

wonder too! Here is how it goes: "To restore files, use the Backup and

Restore Wizard.".
