xp set up does not see hard drive

I'm trying to format and load xp on my computer but when I select install

winxp, it says set up was unable to find hd. I loaded 98 and vista with no

problems, but i want xp. Help!!

You put the CD in the drive and boot off the CD right? Not booting

Windows on the Hard Drive?
