Machine is part of domain. We are testing a application with an old license

key.

We attempt to change the time backwards, but it revert back to today's time.

Windows 2003 can do that, why not 2008 ?

Re: Changing time in windows 2008

Hello IT,

On a computer that is member of the domain the time relies on the DC which

has the PDCEmulator role, all DC's sync with that one and all member servers

and workstations will sync with one available DC, because the complete domain

time does not go out of sync over 5 minutes. Otherwise domain internal you

will get problems. So if you really need to change the time you have to do

it on the PDCEmulator or disconnect the server from the domain.

Best regards
