Help!

The mouse pad on my Packard Bell Easynote TJ71 had stopped working mid-flow. There is a red-lit icon at the top of the keyboard - pointing hand with +. I can use up and down arrows and enter, but can't get the arrow to move with the mouse pad.

Hi Becky,

This actually might be a FN key related issue. With some laptops you can turn the mouse pad off when using a USB mouse.

Look for a symbol similar to the mouse pad on one of the keys, usually the top row F keys, once you think you have it, try pressing and holding down the FN key then the other key that you find. In my case on a Toshiba it is the F9 key. Try that one first just in case it is a standard.

See if that toggles the mouse pad back on.
