The default value is blank. Unless you changed the password, it still is

blank. For this case, press the enter key to enter a blank password.

Repair XP how?

If you're trying to run a repair installation of Windows XP you may have hit the

R key too early. It sounds as if you're in the Recovery Console. The Recovery

Console is a command prompt environment where you can run a limited set of

commands. Here's a web site with more info.

Take a look at these articles for more info on a repair installation.

Good luck

What problems are you having that you think a Repair Install might resolve?

Are these all sudden, new problems?

Did you just install WinXP SP3?

Did you just install driver updates that were offered by Windows Update?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is the

subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?

What third-party firewall (if any)?
