MPEG vidoe not playing

Hi

 

One PC has stopped playing mpeg video, it only plays sound. Media Player 9

says 'getting codec' then says 'codec download failed' and then starts

playing audio. Upgraded to WM 11, still only audio. QT also does not work. I

tried playing on another PC and it worked, did not check the WM version,

whatever comes with Win XP on a new Dell PC.

 

What is the problem and how can I fix it?

Try VLC player, it handles most video types.

VLC works fine. Thanks. Still good to know how to fix Media Player.
