When you type the following text into a Google search window then you get about 7,500 hits. You could do some research on the first few dozen hits. explorer "fault bucket" I would probably do this: - Click Start / Run / msconfig.exe - Tick the Services tab. - Tick the box to hide all Microsoft services. - Untick every remaining service except for your virus scanner and firewall. - Tick the Startup tab. - Untick every task except for your virus scanner and firewall. - Reboot the machine to make the changes effective. If this solves the problem then you need to work out which of the unticked tasks or services is responsible for your problem. Note that the process is fully reversible.
Guest Mally Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Re: An error has occured in Windows.... Thanks for the reply Pegasus. I've searched a little for my bucket number without sucess, but will keep reading through some of the other results on Google. I tried what you said, without any luck.

Guest Mally Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Re: An error has occured in Windows.... Thanks Daniel. I downloaded and used ShellExView and that seems to have solved the problem. It has been bugging me for nearly 2 years!
