Guest ~~Alan~~ Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Re: XP Home lost user accounts Download from M/S a utility called TweakUI. From there you can see what account are available and can specify what accounts can be on the Welcome Screen. This might be a good place to start. ~alan "Dave" <Dave@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8B54A938-CFB1-4A71-8DB6-19E809807FF6@microsoft.com... >I have an XP Home system that uses fast user switching. i have reloaded and > all has worked well for about a year but, now once again i have no user > names > listed on the welcome screen and cannot login. > > HELP! > > dave >

Log on as Administrator, probably with a blank password. Now use TweakUI as suggested by Alan to manage your user accounts or do this to get a list of them: - Click Start / Run / cmd {OK} - Type this command: net user {Enter}
