KenB Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Hi and welcome to ExTS This "fix" involves making changes in the Registry. Before we start lets backup the registry - just in case. Start > type in .............System Restore ................ENTER You will see.. "To Create a Restore Point open System Protection" Click on this. Another box pops up > click on CREATE ( bottom right ) Give the restore point a name ( use the date if you like so that you know when it relates to ) This may take a minute or two. Once you have your restore point created do the following: Start > type in .....regedit .............ENTER Then click the > next to each of the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} In other words once you have clicked the > next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE another menu appears. Find SYSTEM ......click the > next to this Then find CurrentControlSet .......etc. Once you have got to Class and click the > you may have to scroll down a bit to find 4D36E965 ......... Make sure you get the correct one. When you find it click on the key itself and in the right panel you should see ( amongst other things listed ) ...... Upper Filters and Lower Filters Right click on each of these in turn and select "Delete" Once you have done this exit from Regedit. Try the DVD again ( you may need a re-boot ) Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
