Guest moni.gsm@gmail.com Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I have a question..I just put in my Server 2003 and i plugged my externeal usb drive to it and it will not recognize it...it shows it in the disk management but it will not shot up in my computer. the only problem I have is that it shows the drive as empty in disk magement, i was reading the groups and it said all you have to do is assign it a drive letter...ok but if i do that will i loose all the data already on my drive????

No, you won't. I suggest you play with the Disk Manager a little so that you become comfortable with assigning/removing drive letters.
