Guest Dean475 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I needed to uninstall SP3 because of problems with a software package that I use daily. After successfully uninstalling SP3 I can not access the internet via IE 7. I am running XP Pro. Any ideas on how to resolve?? Should I try to reinstall SP 3 and if so then what?? As I do need to remove SP3. I have uninstalled SP3 on another machine without this problem.

Not if this applies to you but Microsoft hasindicated that if you install SP 3 after IE 7, you will not be able to unstall IE 7 without first uninstall SP3. So, since you have uninstalled SP3, try uninstalling IE 7 after. Then, if IE 6 works correctly, you could (repeat could) install SP3 and then update to IE 7.
