My broadband provider done a speed test and they found. ping 73 my download speed(1.68) and my upload speed(1.48) I am with virginmedia. I done the same test my wife's laptop and it read well above the average. I am using Windows XP professional series 3. PC XCube edition model number EZ18-320. When the person who done the speed test said there is nothing wrong with the actual line it might be something wrong with your PC I have been trying to find out. My Internet connection is(1394 net adapter) (nvidia nForce MCP) (Internet Gateway) and I are just baffled it must be something simple and no geek just want to learn it myself I have read manuals but they do not seem fall on the right question I am looking for a answer

Hi and welcome to ExTS

Use this to check your connection speed.

http://www.speedtest.net/

It will take a little time. Do not use the link to scan your machine. Wait for the test link to appear.

It will say "Begin Test"

Give me the download speed for your machine and your wife's machine too.

Are both machines wireless and connected through a router?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
