bennie Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 hi We have just parted company with our web hoster and linked up with another one. We have been with aol for years now and all have aol web addresses which are pathetic to say the least. So when we went with our original web hoster we all had new e.mail addresses which went through our hosting companies server, however we also had our original aol e.mail addresses aswell and everthing worked fine we coud forward e.mails or send e.mails using our web hosting server or using aol. however since we have changed web hoster although we knew our e.mails would have to go through another server and so we started using outlook express we now cannot use our aol e.mails. We cant forward from aol to express or even e.mail. Our new web hoster says that aol are finishing at the end of this year and that will not recognise any new servers and that can do nothing about it. Is there any truth in that and can anyone help. regards Bob Quote
Jelly Bean Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Hello and welcome. Ive found this : http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/243083/aol_discontinues_listserv_mailing_list_service.html Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
bennie Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Thanks jelly bean Not quite sure what listserve is and how that would affect my e.mails. The strange thing is is we are still getting mail into our aol e.mail addresses from other people who use outlook express but not all of them. Also there must be thousands of people out there who use AOL as a isp, what will happen to them? Regards Bob Quote
