Guest josh Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 I have a PC with a dvd-rom, which the dvd region has never been set in. Whenever I attempt to actually set it to Region 1 (USA), It tells me I don't have the privileges, I am in the administrator group. Also, I have attempted with and without the movie present in the drive. Can anybody here help me with this issue?

Typically XP will detect the newly flashed drive as a new instance in Device Manager. You also may need to boot to Safe Mode (F8) to gain access with the Administrator account.
