Guest puppypaws Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 I use the beep and screen flash feature on the " caps Lock " button. I have a new computer (still running XP Pro) and cannot increase the PC sound. The slide is at the higest level and not muted in the PC sound in audio control. I cannot get the beep tone to change by any method. -- Reid

Those sounds are made through the computer's system speaker, probably a small piezo speaker, and the volume most likely cannot be increased. If it can, it might be possible in the BIOS settings. hth, -- Joe =o)
Guest nucleus Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Re: PC Sound you can experiment with this: 1. search for "sound recorder" on your hard drive 2. find file on which you want to change volume 3. enter file name into sound recorder and change volume with "effects" menu 4. save changed file note: i've used "sound recorder" for changing volume in other files, may or may not work in your case On Sep 24, 4:49 pm, puppypaws <puppyp...@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > I use the beep and screen flash feature on the " caps Lock " button.
