Guest Lil' Dave Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Round and round I go. It was broke essentially, but stuck with it. DriveImage 7.0 and its net framework that came with it, MS version 1.0. The imaging worked fine, its the verification that failed in many occasions. Usually, it was an onboard hard drive I was saving an image to where the verification failed. USB and Firewire connected hard drives, no problems. Yes, I checked the onboard hard drive with both 3rd party software, chkdsk, and disk scan. Many times, I thought I tracked down the problem, but shortly reoccurred again. Basically, the problem as it turns out is the updates to net framework 1.0, 2 updates so far. The fix, despite MS misleading KB article about reinstalling net framework for such problems, was to simply to reinstall the app, not net framework. Disgusted, I sign off now. -- Dave How many people with "small savings accounts" closed those accounts in response ot recent ecomomic news...
