To load the XP CD, right at startup, hit F1, F2, or Delete Key to go into

BIOS/Setup.

The right key will be noted at the bottom of the screen at startup.

Or, it might say F12 for Boot Menu.

Once there, change your CD/DVD drive to be 1st in the boot Order, insert XP

disk, reboot, etc.

RE: XP wont go past POST Please Help.

How about telling him, why he would want to boot to the XP CD!

One possible reason, your current install is corrupt and may need a repair

install.

Boot to the CD, select install, at the second menu, Where it detects your

current install of windows, select to repair your current install, Please

note you may have to reinstall drivers and service packs to make your pc

current. I sincerly hope you have made backups of your data, if not then you

should know this, it's not if your hd fails, it's when it fails (you will

lose your data if not backed up in a safe location),

preferably with an externaly USB/SATA drive using a clone method or similar.
