Hi, what it is i had to reinstall windows 7 on my system and decided to leaver the pc on overnight while it was updating, now the PC doesnot boot, all the lights come on, thr psu fan comes on, the gfx card fan comes on and the heatsink fan comes on but no beeps and no display on the monitor. I have checked the RAM by only having one stick in at a time, changed the gfx card with no effect, i think i can hear the HDD coming on but cant be sure, i`ve checked the CPU and cant see any burnt pins, if anyone can help i`d appreciate it.

Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

If you can tell us the make and model number we can usually find the rest unless it is a home or specialist build.

From the symptoms you describe it sounds like a hardware failure of some sort, although fans and lights come on it can still be the power supply as the important voltages are low for the CPU and other mainly electronic stuff. That part of the PSU can fail still leaving the higher voltages OK.

If possible to do so, first thing to check is trying another and known to be working PSU.
