I am trying to add a user profile on my computer. Everything goes fine

until I try to activate an email account. I put in the user name, in and

out address, etc., but the program locks up before the email activates. I

have deleted the user and tried adding another a number of times, with the

same result. Any suggestions.

Your post is a bit confusing. You add computer users in Control Panel>User

Accounts. That has nothing to do with email. You add another email address

for which you want to get mail in some client email program. Examples of an

email client are Outlook Express, MS Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc.

So what exactly are you using and doing?

Re: Add User

I added the user through Control Panel, User Accounts. I switched to the

new user and tried to open up Outlook Express and a setup wizard appeared

asking for user name, pop address and the like. I completed the wizard.

When I go back to open up the Outlook Express, the program locks up. It

will not open Outlook Express so that I can add the email information. The

only way that I can get out of Express is to use ctrl/alt/del.

OK, that makes more sense. Does everything else work in the new user

account? If yes, post your question in the OE newsgroup since the problem

apparently has to do with that application.
