PC slowing down after BIOS reset,

I messed up with the BIOS, and after that i got a black screen and a long beeping sound, so i reset the BIOS by removing the battery for atleast 5 mins and putting it back, it worked the computer was able to turn on and function but it became very laggy and slow, even the mouse is lagging too. can anyone help me to fix this problem please.

What was the problem that caused you to make changes in the BIOS in the first place ?

 

Try taking the RAM out and running on just one module.

If it still lags swap the modules over.

 

What is the make and model number of your machine?

 

I assume that this is a desktop ?

I tried to overclock it,

so i would take off the RAM and let it run?

and if it still lags put the RAM on other slot?

Did you change RAM voltages ?

What else did you try ?

 

Run on just 1 module.

 

If you still get lagging then try a different module.

 

The machine will not run without at least one module in place.
