I have a friend who is need to get a system to boot.

system won't boot in normal or safe mode,

Error: BAD_POOL_CALLER

STOP:0x000000C2 (0x00000043, 0xD24B0000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I need to find out what is causing this error?

How do you decipher what the 0x00000043 strings mean?

There is no other clues as to why this is happeing ... Tried drive in

another identical PC but still no bootie...

Slaved the drive into another system and did a full virus scan and checkdisk

with no errors.

thanks

RE: bad pool caller

Sounds like some hardware in the drive has failed, making it no longer

bootable.

I had an older drive, that refused to boot in an older system, but in a

newer pc it would albiet not on channel zero, but on channel 4, it refused to

boot on channel zero. eventually (in just a few short months) the drive

failed completely.

Can you hit F8 to get into the menu that lets you select the startup

mode for Windows? If so:

- Unplug all external devices (except keyboard and monitor).

- Reboot and hit F8 as Windows loads.

- Select "last known good configuration" to see if that gets you back

into Windows.

If that works, start checking Device Manager and Event Viewer.

Does your FBI/High-Tech Crime Squad have psychiatric Friend to sort you out?

I think you said it all by saying this:

<Quotye from the TROLL Post>

And once I get hold of someone like him,

I never let go... NEVER.

Well, maybe.

Someone stalked me in the Vista groups and

impersonated me until I finally backed off and

played nice.

It cramped my style, and so I came here to play.

WATCH OUT FOOL. Or you'll be next on my list!
