Guest FGarvin Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I have a User who is using the clipboard function (Copy/Paste) where she needs to continually use the same information over and over. She copies the information once and the clipboard should retain that information until she copies something else. Well, for some reason, the clipboard is forgetting the data after a few minutes (it is not a consistent time) without copying anything else. I can find no reason for this to happen. Any Ideas?

There is probably some other application that makes use of the clipboard. If you launch clipbrd.exe and keep its frame partly visible then you can see when exactly the "disappearing act" happens. Make sure to click "Window/Clipboard".
Guest John A Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Re: Clipboard forgets Contents Some of the older versions of Microsoft Works Suites can cause this - when you start Word it clears the clipboard. Guest ju.c Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Re: Clipboard forgets Contents While not a fix, I thought you might like this: ClipX 1.0.3.8 109 KB (Freeware) http://bluemars.org/clipx/ "/ ClipX is a tiny clipboard history manager. It is sweet, it is free, use it. Use the system tray icon to restore your old clipboards. Use a hotkey to paste them directly inside your favorite editor. /" ju.c "FGarvin" <FGarvin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:50D6CC9A-A4ED-4D07-903B-4FC8AF07046B@microsoft.com... > I have a User who is using the clipboard function (Copy/Paste) where she > needs to continually use the same information over and over.
