I am not ready to upgrade to 2008 yet but have 1 windows 2008 server that I would like to make a domain controller that is part of our windows 2003 domain. Is this possible? Thanks Larry

Guest Meinolf Weber Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Re: Windows 2008 DC In a 2003 Domain Hello Larry, Works without any problem. You have to prepare the schema of the 2003 domain before you can add a 2008 DC. Run adprep commands on the 2003 schema master: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731728.aspx Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. ** Please do NOT email, only reply to Newsgroups ** HELP us help YOU!!! http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm > Hello, > > Can a windows 2008 domain controller participate in a windows 2003 > domain and forest?
