Unable to create new folder in any CD

I have had XP pro for several years and have been quite happy with its

performance. I also have every MS update installed. This may be good or bad

for the following reason.

 

Immediately after the latest update, a new icon appeared on the bottom right

for "My Documents". No problem with that except I did not create it !!!!

Update, maybe ???

 

My big problem is that ALL cd's either blank or partially populated now show

as FULL and I am unable to create a new folder or add files. Very strange.

 

Can this be corrected, and how or am I on my way to VISTA ??

Problem solved. Both ROMs had their properties changed. They would not allow

writing to either drive.
