Not sure this is the right group, but I am experiencing intermittent

disk-access errors :

Event Type: Error

Event Source: Disk

Event Category: None

Event ID: 11

Date: 9/26/2008

Time: 3:10:59 PM

User: N/A

Computer: DBSRVR2

Description:

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\DR0.

Event Type: Error

Event Source: atapi

Event Category: None

Event ID: 15

Date: 9/26/2008

Time: 3:10:59 PM

User: N/A

Computer: DBSRVR2

Description:

The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort3, is not ready for access yet.

Are these just initializtion timing errors on reboots ?

Re: hard-disk controller errors

I'd download run the manufacturer's disk diagnostic tools from their web

site.
