Guest tshad Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 In Windows 2003, I have a service that once in awhile will not stop when I tell it to. It sits as Stopping and won't finish. Now there seems no way to start it again without rebooting the server. I know what the problem is, just haven't been able to fix all the problems that cause it. Is there a way to kill it so I can restart it without rebooting the server? Thanks, Tom

Guest Meinolf Weber Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Re: Service Stopping Hello tshad, What service are you talking about? Some services, like exchange for example, can take a long time to stop if running on older machines. I found out how to kill it by going to the Task manager and killing it there.
