why did my network adapter stop Working

Was gaming last night and my internet to my pc stopped working MID GAME. Now I get zero internet connection. When I troubleshoot it Says “windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter, if you have a network adapter, you will need to reinstall the driver” if I click next when troubleshooting. It says “windows could not find a driver for your network adapter” I have no idea how to fix a driver that was working whilst having no internet to do so. Please help
