I've built a new computer and at times it will freeze up and nothing works - mouse doesn't move, keyboard...nothing. When restarted, it will work, but it seems to happen within so many hours or so. There is a videos on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kky3LR19Ds. The screen goes exactly like that. This has happened several times within using Skype or Youtube.

I've updated the bios, and other stuff.

My specs are.

Asus P8Z68 V Pro Gen 3

i7 2600k with Noctua NH D14

G Skill 2x4 gb ripjawsx memory

Crucial M4 2x128 gb SSD

Seagate 1tb HDD

Corsair Professional Series AX750w PSU

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

Am currently using the onboard graphics, as Im waiting for the graphics cards. Those will be EVGA GTX680 in SLI.

You are showing a laptop in youtube which is freezed. Check the ventilation of the laptop whether it's dustfree.

In some laptops the ventilation is under the laptop so leave always some space between the bottom of the laptop and working table.

In some laptops

planetocean7 posted the link as an example.

They have a new build ( so presumably no dust ) and it is a desktop.

Sorry for the late reply - I missed this one !

That screen ( YouTube ) looks like a problem with the Video.

As you are using on-board video this utilises the RAM too.

Try taking one of the 4GB modules out ( it will run fine on the other )

If you get the same problem - swap the modules over and run on the other one.

If the problem is not re-produced then the RAM module that is out at that time is causing the problem.

If it proves NOT to be the RAM then when your new Video Card arrives this will confirm if it is the on-board video or not.

If it is the on-board video that is the problem you need to return the m/board for a replacement.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
