I can't create a local account with my own name!

This is a new Windows 11 PC. In setup I created a sign-in using my MS account but this has resulted in a User Folder called "dunca". I read up on how to change this to "Duncan" (my name and, more importantly, part of the path of the files and shortcuts coming over from the old machine) and so I tried changing the sign-in to a Local account, using the name "Duncan". This didn't change the User Folder name as I'd hoped so I tried to create a new Local Account, again using the name "Duncan" but it won't let me - it won't accept the name.I can't see anywhere to fix this so can anyone help, plea
