Guest timandjanet Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I am using XP SP3.0 and I performed a Search, but then could not find in Windows Explorer all of the items listed in the Search. I already "Show hidden files and folders" in all folders. I am the Owner and Administrator of this computer. How can I find and delete these files? In addition, I cannot delete some files from a program I no longer subscribe to/use. I get the error, "Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use." How can I delete these?
Guest TERRY Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 RE: can't find items listed in a search Hi.If you see the items in the search box.Right click on the file you want.when you right click you will see open containing folder.Click on that it will bring you to where the folder is stored. If you want to delete these files right click then delete. Also if you type the name of the program you want to get rid of.Delete it from the search box that should get rid of it.Some programs can be a pain.Hope this helps.TERRY.
