Guest Lisa Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Hi, We run Windows server 2003. I try to use NTBackup to backup data to a mapped network drive. The manual backup is completed successfully, but the scheduled backup failed with error message: Backup Status: The operation was not performed because the specified media cannot be found. It seems the mapped network drive is disconnected while the scheduled job try to run. Is there anyone know why this happen? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks in advance! Lisa
Guest Anthony [MVP] Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Re: NT Backup failed Lisa, You can back up to a UNC path instead. They don't "know" what shares you mapped, so you need to follow Anthony's recommendation.
