Hi,

We run Windows server 2003. I try to use NTBackup to backup data to a mapped

network drive. The manual backup is completed successfully, but the scheduled

backup failed with error message: Backup Status: The operation was not

performed because the specified media cannot be found. It seems the mapped

network drive is disconnected while the scheduled job try to run. Is there

anyone know why this happen?

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Lisa

Re: NT Backup failed

Lisa,

You can back up to a UNC path instead.

Scheduled tasks run in a shell that is independent of your foreground shell.

They don't "know" what shares you mapped, so you need to follow Anthony's

recommendation.
