I want "Multiple" monitor for both 1 and 2

Hello:

In the Display settings in Windows XP Control Panel, the drop-down list for

monitor 1 and 2 read "(Multiple)". Now, only 1 says "(Mulitple)". #2 says

"Plug and Play".

I want them both to say "(Multiple)" in the drop-down list. I wish that I

had never played with these settings, and I cannot remember how to switch

them back.

I don't care about those two checkboxes at the bottom. I just want each of

the two selections in the drop-down to red "(Multiple)" ,like it was in the

beginning. Would rebooting help? If not, how do I fix this?

Thanks!

The names reflect the actual device description of the driver. If

you had an NEC 90GX2 then that monitor ( Using the vendor

driver ) would show that name. Plug-&-Play is the default or

generic monitor driver XP uses when no vendor specific one is

used. I've never encountered a monitor description "Multiple",

you may want to try and get/install the exact monitor driver for

each one you use.
