Start Menu button not working & search bar disappeared

I have an HP Probook running Win 11, no updates available when I check.The Start Menu doesn't work normally, yes the right click option gives me a menu of settings option but I need the apps & there are no apps in that menu. The search bar on the task didn't work at all yesterday and vanished at some point with one of the fixes I tried. The one where you paste this in a txt file & rename it a reg file: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search]"SearchboxTaskbarMode"=dword:00000000"SearchboxTaskbarModeCache"=dwor
