Perhaps I was not clear. I went to the Microsoft Download site for XP, and did a search for all updates that Microsoft says need to be installed on my PC. I open each to read what they are for, since some may not be for my particular configuration. I have the Automatic update set to off, so I can choose and do the updates manually, which I check on a weekly basis. That is when I see that some have 0KB displayed, not when they already exist on my PC ready to be installed. Thanks again.....StanZ
Guest FrankV Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Re: Downloading and applying Microsoft updates........ Are you using the correct Microsoft update http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/ ? This finds just updates based on your configuration.
