Profile appears in MyComp adv, but not in Userpasswords

Can someone explain to me (in pursuing my earlier 'user name assigned to new

profile' problem)

 

how it is that some profiles are clearly present, showing up in

MyComputer/Properties/Advanced, and opening with ctrl alt delete, but they

do not show up in (XPHome) in Control Panel User accounts, run: control

Userpasswords, or Userpasswords2?

 

This is all rather puzzling. I know I can arrange not to show a profile on

the welcome screen, but do not see how it can disappear from Control panel

and userpasswords.

 

Explanation much appreciated.
