Guest Gaurav Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Dear Friends, In windows server 2003 there is no system restore point utility as windows XP has. Is it possible to install system restore in win 2k3 or is there any other utlity, after using that we can restore O/S in the case of small problem related to software or registry. Thanks in advance Gaurav Mathur
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Re: System restore Point in Win 2K3 Hello gaurav, System restore is not included with 2003. If it is a member/workgroup server you can create an image before installing some updates or new software. Or you can make a full backup from the system drive or the system state. Do not create images from Domain controllers. Images from DC's are not supported or recommended.
