CAPS LOCK and "A" Keys are identicAL!

When I press the "A" key, caps lock comes on AND an "A" IS TYPED. When I

press the Caps Lock key, cAPS LOCK COMES ON and AN "A" also is typed. This

hAPPENED after I instALLED sp3 (Windows XP Pro), but I ALSO SUSPECT MY Cat.

I've tried to reseARCH KEY GROUPING and key mAPPING WITHOUT LUCK. Any help

will be most APPRECIated.Thank you!

and i suspect sp3 doesn't like your keyboard

Boot into Safe Mode and check if the problem persists. You should also

report if this issue is specific to one or to all applications.

The keys are next to each other. Any chance there is dirt or crumbs there?

Turn KB over and tap bottom lightly.

I suspect your keyboard. Those keys are right next to each other, so

be VERY sure that only one goes down at a time. They may be stuck to

each other somehow.

Why don't you try the obvious, first:

 

1) Try removing the piece of debris that has gotten lodged between the

two keys and is making them move simultaneously; or

 

2) Try a new keyboard.
