Guest No Worries Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 New to the board,hope this works. I have no sound from a video, video plays OK same from streaming public radio. Aquired the latest via AC97 driver and installed. All Windows sounds are OK Can play MP3 in Windows Midia PLayer No sound related error messages. Lost for an answer. This problem came along after a reload of XP Thanks

This problem came along after a reload of XP > Thanks Several streming audio require codecs that do not come with XP. Locate, download and install one of the "mega" codec packs. This should fix most audio problems.

I downloaded and installed a codecs pack that reports the code that is being used at the time, very nice. Still no sound from videos.
