Welcome to FPH Strikes.

Can you please post the make and model of the laptop?

Also, go into Control Panel>Network Connections and post back with what it shows for your wireless connection.

Thanks Wolfey, but Networking is actually one of weaker points.

Strikes,

Have you ever had the laptop online with wireless?

When a laptop has a key or switch that needs to be on for the wireless, it is normally accompanied by a light indicating that it is on. Does yours have a light and is it on?

When you "View available wireless networks", what happens?

Can you also post back with the model number which is usually on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

I'm just looking into the model...

In the meantime, right click on My Computer and choose Manage>Device Manager. Click on the plus sign beside Network Adapters. Right click on your wireless adapter and choose uninstall. Now restart the computer and the wireless card will be re-installed. Go back into Device Manager and look at the wireless card again. It should not have a ! or a ? in front of it. Now right click on the card and choose Properties. It should say The Device Is Working Properly.

Now try to view the available wireless networks.

I also can't find your model number on PB's site. Can you find it here:

Try this for now:

Go back into Network Connections from the Control Panel, right click on the wireless and choose Properties>Wireless Networks. If there isn't already, put a check on "Use Window's to configure my wireless network". Click ok, then right click on the wirless network and choose View available...what happens now?
