Guest Dabwang4363 Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 we have quite a few mobile workers who all have XP laptops on our domain. none of them seem to get reminders anymore about when their password is due to expire. this seems to work for users on the LAN. it seems to dont get the reminders when they are not on the LAN / VPN any ideas of how to get this working? thanks Nigel

You'll also find that LAN users who simply lock / unlock their workstations don't receive the UI reminder either, at least not reliably. Laptop users typically put their laptops in sleep mode and seldom log off / on, and run with a set of cached credentials. Again, no UI prompt. Try Password Reminder PRO- It is designed to resolve this problem completely and is very easy to install. You can even test it from a domain workstation in "test mode" to see how it works without disturbing users. http://www.sysoptools.com
