we have quite a few mobile workers who all have XP laptops on our domain.

none of them seem to get reminders anymore about when their password is due

to expire. this seems to work for users on the LAN. it seems to dont get

the reminders when they are not on the LAN / VPN

any ideas of how to get this working?

thanks

It can be done but by a VBs script or by another third-party software than

can manage the password for those Romaing users!

GPO to VPN users their pwd will expire?

Hi Nigel-

This issue is quite common so don't feel like you are alone with this.

You'll also find that LAN users who simply lock / unlock their

workstations don't receive the UI reminder either, at least not

reliably.

Laptop users typically put their laptops in sleep mode and seldom log

off / on, and run with a set of cached credentials. Again, no UI

prompt.

Try Password Reminder PRO- It is designed to resolve this problem

completely and is very easy to install. You can even test it from a

domain workstation in "test mode" to see how it works without

disturbing users.
