Guest Anatnas Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 A couple of days ago I turned on my Dell Inspiron 700 laptop and received the message STOP: c000021a (fatal system error) the windows logon process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system has been shutdown. I have tried rebooting in safe mode but get multiple *.exe application error and am unable to access anything, not AOL, IE Explorer, GoogleUpdater. Am at a total loss and don't even know where to begin. I have 1024MB of memory and 100GB of RAM with 13 available. Any suggestions? -- Anatnas

Back up your important files (including your EMail files!), then boot into the Recovery Console and run chkdsk. Post again if unsure how to back up your files or how to boot into the Recovery Console.
