Guest totoro Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 is there a way to find out where the original location for the installation of .NET 2? My .NET 2 is broken, I have tried procedures detailed in KB 908077 but cannot repair, reinstalled or uninstall .NET 2 because I always run into the same message: The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it. I inherited this system, and .NET has been around for years. is there a way to find out where it was originally installed from? this is a 2003 SMall Business Server. any help is deeply appreciated. thanks in advance.

Hi - you can download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, if you're very very careful. Then reinstall .NET. That said, since you're using SBS, I suggest you post in m.p.windows.server.sbs instead of the 'regular' groups, as SBS does many things differently and you should ensure you're getting the most relevant advice.
